Blending yoga, science and nature to help overextended humans reclaim joy, peace, and presence.

Rooted in neuroscience and nourished by the natural world, my work blends yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness to restore balance to body and mind, because peace isn’t something to chase, it’s something to return to.

The science of calm.

I'll guide you on a journey back to peace and vitality through yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, and a deeper connection with the natural world. Each practice is designed to awaken your adventurous spirit from a grounded place of calm, inviting curiosity, play, and a renewed sense of wonder in your own body and the world around you.

Calm, Expanded

Step outside, and something shifts. Your senses widen, your breath deepens, and the constant effort of holding everything together begins to soften. This is more than a feeling; it’s a measurable shift in the brain and body. In nature, we access a state I think of as wild calm: a way of being that is both steady and alive, grounded yet expansive. Through yoga and breathwork, we can recognize this state on the mat and learn how to meet it more fully in the world outside.

The Science of Soft Fascination

Neuroscientists describe this state as soft fascination: a form of effortless attention where the mind is both captivated and calmed by the natural world. Unlike the focused concentration we use in meditation or daily life, this open awareness allows the brain to recover from overload. Research shows that time spent in natural environments restores mental energy, reduces rumination and overwhelm, and enhances creativity and well-being.

Where Practice Meets Place

Yoga and breathwork deepen this experience by giving the body and mind a way to participate. Breath serves as an anchor, movement becomes a somatic expression and the environment creates a sense of connection to the world around us. Whether on the mat or immersed in nature, we begin to access the same underlying state – calm, attentive, and fully present. This is wild calm: a practice we cultivate intentionally, and a way of being that we remember when we step outside.
